I really enjoyed making my Erin dress. I used techniques that I had heard about but never used. I had the perfect fabric, which was a border print. I wrote it to my grandson's 8th grade graduation. I got so many compliments. I followed the Youtube sew-a-long and it was very easy to make.
Easy fast sew!
I loved it clear instructions and love the video on YouTube!
Printing and taping the the pattern together was good. I did spend time looking to see if I did something wrong because the pocket notches were missing. At that time I went to the video and found out it was not my error. The video and the pattern was both helpful and confusing trying to use together. I am new at sewing and I am sure I would not have figured out the bottom tie without the video. I am happy with my end product.
I love this pattern!❤️️ I wasn't sure if the style would look good on me, but I made it up in a solid Burgundy crepe fabric and I am so happy with the way it turned out! I would like to try sewing it in a print fabric. So many of the ladies posting on the April Sew Your View made their dresses in such gorgeous prints!
I purchase the PDF version of this pattern. The pattern simple cut and put together. the sew was quick and easy, especially since the pattern designer has a YouTube sew along for both versions of this dress. I truly enjoy making both versions of this dress and I will be making more to add to my spring/ summer wardrobe. The subtle details on these dresses make them lovely, the bottom ties of view B and creatively placed pockets of view A were a thumbs up for me. A wonderful sew from start to finish. I highly recommend this pattern for beginner to advanced sewist, I feel both dresses are great for all body shapes!
